History

The Dedham Junior Women's Club, founded in 1979, is part of the General Federation of Women's Clubs of Massachusetts, Junior Membership (GFWC). The GFWC is the largest and oldest non-partisan, non-denominational, international service organization of volunteer women in the world. It was founded in 1890 on the principal of Unity in Diversity and is dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.

Our Mission

The purpose of the Dedham Junior Women's Club is to encourage its members to be active volunteers in the community in a variety of areas including: Arts, Education, Conservation, Family Life, International Outreach and Public Issues. DJWC's reach extends beyond Dedham, as well, offering time, monetary donations, and donations of goods to social service organizations in the  Greater Boston area. It further offers its members social and educational growth through unity and fellowship.
