TALKS-BOROUGH - "Leadership 101: Why the Golden Rule" with Col. Joseph Sanders (Retired)

New for 2024, at the Senior Center each month, we will invite a Foxborough community member to speak on a topic that they are an expert on.  We hope these presentations will allow for you to better get to know your community, while also learning information on a new subject.  Our 1st Talks-borough event will be held on Wednesday, Jan 10 at 4 p.m. Leadership is the most important ingredient in making all organizations run well - whether they be military, government, or private businesses.  Easier said than done.  Why is it that it seems that leaders everywhere "Just don't get it"?  What makes a person a good leader?  Contrary to popular belief, adherence to the Golden Rule which requires us to "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" often does not serve "leaders" or their organization well.  Join 1976 West Point graduate and Foxborough resident Joe Sanders, who successfully commanded units in the active US Army and then successfully led organizations with over 400 employees in his post-military civilian career, as he discusses characteristics which help define and create a good leader.  Come and learn why some people MAKE things happen, some people WATCH things happen, and then many do nothing proactive at all and then later wonder "WHAT HAPPENED?" Please sign up in advance.

EARTH MOODS
