11 Years and Still Growing
Yes, its been 11 years since Stageloft first opened its doors, or should I say, "barn door." Those first five years in the loft were an adventure. Seating was even more intimate than it is now, the air conditioning was non-existent, we shared the space with a friendly bat, and the backstage area was spacious, if you included the outdoors.
Six years ago we moved to our present location. The satisfaction of providing handicap seating, unobstructed views, and theater-style seating, as well as central air conditioning, pleases us and we hope, pleases you, our audience.
Through most of these last years, we've been blessed with many actors who have stayed with Stageloft and young actors who we've had the pleasure of watching grow up. One of the people most responsible for Stageloft's continued success was Eric L'Ecuyer. Eric arrived one day in late May, helped build the lighting booth, and stayed ten years as our Technical Director. Eric decided this past summer that he needed to move on to new challenges and adventures. All those who have worked at Stageloft benefited from his talent and hard work. Audiences also benefited when Eric started acting on stage these last few years. We miss Eric and say, "Bravo!" to him for the contributions he made to Stageloft.
We hope this year's summer/fall season appeals to you, and that the special events, Dave Clark's magic show and Trista Duval's benefit concert will provide special entertainment.
Finally, please consider joining us on our eighth annual trip to London next February. Many of our patrons have gone three and four times with us. It's a great way to experience England's rich culture and many sights.
