The 55th Annual Pembroke Arts Festival, consisting of many long time dedicated volunteers, is in the process of producing an outstanding event this year! We are committed to furthering an appreciation of the arts in Pembroke and environs, and also to providing an enjoyable weekend for the community to come together and celebrate! In the spirit of promoting the arts we will once again be awarding scholarships to two Pembroke students for Fine Arts and Performing Arts. Our two outstanding Scholarship winners have been announced and their bios can be viewed on this website.
The new Community Center will most likely be under construction so the committee is planning to hold the Festival at Hobomock Elementary School. We will have access to both interior and exterior facilities at the school and plan to have all of our traditional elements in place. An outdoor stage has been rented and there will be our usual tent for Young Artists' artwork as well as raffles.
Keep an eye on this page for further details as the planning proceeds. Our committee meets regularly from now until the Festival, during which time we decide democratically on our courses of action. We welcome new volunteers and sponsors so if you are interested in contributing in any capacity you may find our emails on the Contact page. Additionally on our Sponsor page you will find an opportunity to memorialize a loved one who valued the arts with a special award in their name. On our Volunteer page there will be sign ups to participate during the Festival for service hours or just for fun, and maybe a staff t-shirt :) Crafters can apply to be part of the Artisan marketplace, and even pay a small fee to advertise on our Crafters page. Raffle donations are always welcome! .
Dancers, musicians, and Artists-in-Action are being booked for the weekend. Please visit our Juried and Young Artist Galleries to view the amazing work from last year still on display, and our Jurors page to find links to their wonderful artwork! Hopefully it will inspire you to keep creating and preparing to submit your entries for 2022. I think we are all ready to come together, view some amazing works of art, and just have fun!
