About Us:
Attracting over 21,000 people each year The Academy Playhouse is a must visit whether you are a local or just visiting the Cape. Each year The Playhouse produces more than 12 shows, including musicals, dramas, comedies and original works. In addition to creative music series, benefit performances and faculty performances. Well-known theater directors, music directors, set design artists, and costume designers all come to the Playhouse to collaborate with Cape artists, under the artistic direction of Peter Earle.
The Academy has a membership of over 400 people, donating annually. This venerable institution survives because of what it continues to offer this community. Music, dance, drama, and the opportunity to find it within yourself and share it is a magic like no other. Long may we pursue this noble adventure and keep the possibilities and dreams alive for generations to come.
