Nature Talk: Beautiful Butterflies
Saturday, May 6. 2:30-3:30 PM.
From the large Eastern tiger swallowtail and colorful monarch to the tiny spring azure, there is a huge range of size, color and patterns in New England butterfly species. What makes a good butterfly habitat? How do you attract more of these beautiful animals? Find out more about our local butterflies and what brings them to our neighborhoods. Experience the sights of some of our most beautiful seasonal creatures!
This program is offered as part of the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area’s Hidden Treasures Festival of Nature, Culture & History.

Woburn's Road to Revolution: A Reenactment
Saturday, May 13. 3-4 PM or 4-5 PM.
In the City of Woburn, MA, we are fortunate to have a section of the ancient road used by the Woburn Militia, led by Major Loammi Baldwin, as they marched toward Lexington on April 19, 1775, answering the alarm and call to arms. In celebration of this historical site, and to raise awareness of the project to restore and preserve it, the Woburn Historical Commission, in partnership with Freedom's Way Hidden Treasures Festival, will present "Woburn's Road to Revolution" in the Richardson Gallery at the Woburn Public Library (a National Historic Landmark).

Pizza Talk & Tasting

Did you know there’s a Pizza Hall of Fame? Neither did we! Learn about the different types of pizza and how they are made, including Massachusetts own “South Shore Bar Pizza”. Improv Workshop

In this workshop, participants will learn and practice improvisation activities and techniques that will help to improve expressive language skills as well promote faster thinking and decrease stress. No experience necessary.

Book, Schmook! - We're Doing the Whole Genre!
Welcome to the monthly Book, Schmook! Discussion. In this group, rather than reading and discussing a specific book, each time we will focus on the ins and outs of a different literary genre. Share your thoughts and opinions on the genre in general, as well as books & authors within that genre, and recommend titles you’ve enjoyed. This program is geared toward adults, and will, of course, come with snacks.
This will be a hybrid meeting meaning we will meet in the Program Room at the Library and others can join from home via Zoom.

With almost no information of her genetic heritage, adoptee Rebecca Daniels followed limited clues and used DNA testing, genealogical research, thoughtful letter writing, and a willingness to make awkward phone calls with strangers to finally find her birth parents. Daniels will offer a presentation based on her new book, Finding Sisters: How One Adoptee Used DNA Testing and Determination to Uncover Family Secrets and Find Her Birth Family.

Do you love boba tea? Have you ever wanted to try boba tea? Do you have no idea what boba tea is, but open for a fun new experience? Come to the Boba Tea Cafe in the Maker Space to make and enjoy a simple boba milk tea recipe.
Boba tea, also called bubble tea, is a sweet Taiwanese drink made with chewy tapioca pearls. It can be made in hundreds of different flavors with different toppings and sweeteners.
