Town Of Weston - COA is Pleased to Announce New Director, Joan Ingersoll

From: Town Of Weston
March 6, 2023

On behalf of the Weston Council on Aging Board, I am very pleased to announce that Joan Ingersoll will take the reins as the new Director of the COA on March 20th.

Most recently, Joan was the Director of the Council on Aging and Human Services in Carlisle and previously served as Assistant Director of the Council on Aging and Human Services in Lincoln.

Joan spent part of her career working within nonprofit agencies focused on people with disabilities and behavioral health needs, serving as CEO of the Mental Health Association in Springfield, MA before transitioning into services for older adults.

Joan has a Master’s degree in Management of Human Services from the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Literature from Dartmouth College.

I wish to take this opportunity to thank Kristen Frady, our Program and Volunteer Coordinator, for serving as Acting Director for the past 2 months on top of all her regular job responsibilities.  We also appreciate the rest of our stellar COA staff for ensuring smooth operations during this transition period.

Please join us on Monday, April 10 at 10am for our monthly Coffee & Conversation and to welcome Joan to the Weston COA.
