This is a Public Health Warning issued by the West Newbury Board of Health. The Board of Health has been notified that one or more of the upstream sewage treatment facilities have had a combined sewer overflow release into the Merrimack River. It is recommended that the public avoid contact with said waters for a minimum of 48 hours after the sewage discharge or after the end of the rainstorm.
