Town Of Tyngsborough - Volunteer Leader Needed – Neighborhood Brigade May 26, 2022

From: Town Of Tyngsborough
May 27, 2022

The Commission on Disability is in the planning and exploration phases of forming a Neighborhood Brigade in Tyngsborough. Neighborhood Brigade is a non-profit organization that helps communities form groups of residents who are able to help their neighbors in their time of need. With the help of Volunteer Leaders, the program allows residents to apply for assistance with every day tasks and matches them with their neighbors who have been vetted, passed a CORI, and have indicated they are willing to help.

As a part of the process, the Commission on Disability will need to identify at least two (2) resident volunteers who will serve as liaisons and assist local residents as they navigate the application process both as a resident requiring some help and a resident applying to help. These are unpaid positions and work will be limited to when applications come through.
