Upcoming Art Classes in June 2022
June 25, 2022 at the PSC at 1:00pm - Last day for sign up is June 18th by 12:00pm
In this workshop, Introduction and beginning Techniques for One Color Stencil, participants will be shown the basics, practice on scrap paper, and then will stencil greeting cards with envelopes. All necessary supplies will be provided. You will be dealing with paints so please dress accordingly. Suggested ages are anywhere from four to one hundred and four. Children thirteen and under are welcomed but must be accompanied by someone over sixteen.
The workshop will take place on Saturday June 25th from 1:00-2:00 pm at the Public Safety Complex. Please register in advance by calling the Library at 413-258-4201. Leave a message with your name and number. This way we can be sure to have plenty of supplies.

The Tolland Cultural Council will host “Jellyfish,’ a Pastel Painting Workshop with award-winning pastel artist Gregory John Maichack, for adults and teens 16+ at The Public Safety Complex on June 30th from 6:00-8:00pm. This is a pastel painting workshop designed for both sheer beginners to advanced participants. Please call the Tolland Public Library to reserve your spot at 413-258-4201 as space is limited. This fun, two-hour workshop, with materials included, guides everyone in producing their very own personalized and original pastel of a stunning jellyfish. The possibilities are unfathomable! For the first time, creating translucency will be our special effect. As always, everyone will keep their 12 X 18 painting. All will have access to pastels, pencils, paper, blending material, and photo references of various and sundry jellyfish for ideas.
