Town Of Tewksbury : Second phase of the Library’s Carpeting Installation Project Planned for January 2023

From: Town Of Tewksbury
January 9, 2023

Beginning Sunday January 8, 2023, the Tewksbury Public Library will undergo a new carpet installation on the second floor of the building. The scope of this project includes new carpeting installed throughout publicly accessible areas including the study rooms, Local History Room, and public computer and study areas. Staff areas, including staff workspaces and offices on the second floor, will also undergo the installation process.

To accommodate a safe working area for the carpet installation, the second floor will be closed Sunday January 8thth through Wednesday January 18. The computers, printing, photocopying, faxing, and scanning services located on the second floor will not be available during this time period. Computers, printing, and photocopying services are available on the first floor of the library. The study rooms will not be available while the second floor is closed.

While the second floor is closed for work to be conducted safely, library items will not be accessible by staff or patrons, including the adult fiction, paperback, and non-fiction collections. Following the conclusion of installation work at 3pm on January 9 through January 18, staff can retrieve library materials from closed areas.

The first-floor Meeting Room will also receive updated carpeting as the final portion of the project on Thursday January 19.
