Australian award-winning author Sulari Gentill will discuss her new mystery, The Woman In The Library, in this Zoom webinar. Security guards take charge immediately, instructing everyone inside to stay put until the threat is identified and contained. While they wait for the all-clear, four strangers, who'd happened to sit at the same table, pass the time in conversation and friendships are struck. Each has his or her own reasons for being in the reading room that morning—it just happens that one is a murderer. Award-winning author Sulari Gentill delivers a sharply thrilling read with The Woman in the Library, an unexpectedly twisty literary adventure that examines the complicated nature of friendship and shows us that words can be the most treacherous weapons of all. Sponsored by the Corning Foundation and the Friends of the Library.

VIRTUAL: Explore The National Parks Of The Southern United States (*RR)

Thursday, June 30, 11am

The entire southern section of the US was at one time under a great inland sea. The largest marine fossil reef on earth makes up two of our Parks, one above ground and one below. We will visit the largest gypsum field on the planet, examine the densest concentration of petrified logs found anywhere, and go climbing in the only National Park to entirely contain a complete mountain range. Steve has visited all 63 of our country's National Parks, including hiking to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, scuba diving the coral reefs of the Virgin Islands, camping among the wolves on Isle Royale, scaling rock faces in Yosemite, and climbing to the summits of Mount Rainier and Denali. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
