Stow Police Department is hiring a Lieutenant

The Stow Police Department is currently seeking candidates to be considered for the position of Police Lieutenant. In order to be considered for this position candidates must submit a cover letter and resume to the Stow Police Lieutenant Hiring Committee by February 22, 2023.

The hiring committee will select candidates to proceed to the written examination. Chosen candidates must successfully pass a written 100 question examination. The candidates with the top 5 exam scores will be invited to proceed to the next phase of the process which includes an assessment center tentatively scheduled for April 22, 2023.

EXAMINATION DATE: April 8, 2023 at 9:00 AM

EXAMINATION LOCATION: Stow Community Center, 509 Great Road

ELIGIBILITY: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or related field, and seven to ten (7-10) years of related experience, including three (3) years at the rank of Sergeant or higher or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Full time police academy certification, valid driver’s license and firearms license required. Must be in good standing with POST.
