The Town of Sherborn welcomes our Library Director Elizabeth Anderson.  Ms. Anderson had been appointed Interim Library Director on December 3, 2022 and is now appointed Director, following the completion of a search launched in October 2022 by a Directors Search Committee of the Sherborn Library Trustees.  Liz succeeds Elizabeth Johnston, who served as the Director of the Sherborn Library since 1988 and retired on December 2, 2022.

Ms. Anderson has been the Assistant Director and Public Services Librarian of the Sherborn Library since October 2017. She has created and managed programs, events and digital resources as well as providing administrative support and community outreach for the Sherborn Library.  Before joining the Sherborn Library, Liz worked at the Newton Free Library as Assistant Head of Youth Services/Teen Librarian.  She has a Masters Degree in Library and Information Sciences from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelors degree in English from Wheaton College.

Liz resides in Holliston with her family.  Her experience at Sherborn Library, strong community ties and library services expertise will provide continuity and leadership as the Library looks forward to moving back into and reopening in its renovated building.
