The Norwell Water Department will be reactivating the South Street Water Treatment Plant to accommodate the increased demand. You may experience the following temporary changes to your water:
Some discoloration due to the changes in the flow direction. If you notice this, wait 2 hours to use the water for household chores such as laundry or cooking.
Run the cold water tap for 5-10 minutes (no aerator) to remove any sediment.
Water sources will be coming back online, so the blended distribution system will produce PFAS levels within the compliance of the 20ng/L limit.
A self-service water filling station at 79 Grove Street is available to provide water for anyone preferring alternative water.
