Did you know that approximately 4,500 residents in Norwell are age 50 and older? This represents 41% of the Town’s population! To better serve this growing demographic, the Town of Norwell and the Council on Aging are partnering with the Gerontology Institute at the University of Massachusetts Boston, to conduct a Community Needs Assessment. The purpose is to look at our community today and how we grow a strong and vibrant community for all ages in the future. Surveys will be mailed to all Norwell residents age 50 and older, on October 12, 2022. In some cases, households may receive more than one survey. We ask that each individual please complete their own survey, as your personal feedback and input is important to us. For those who do not participate in programs or access services through the Council on Aging, your response is very valuable, as it will help guide our strategic plan and Town-wide initiatives for the future.
Please complete the enclosed survey and return it by November 7th. A self-addressed, stamped envelope is included for your convenience. The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete. Please also be sure to complete the important demographic information. Responses are anonymous and confidential. The Gerontology Institute will analyze the data collected and provide us with a comprehensive report to help build a better picture of our community.
