Town of Milton : Academy Lockdown Drill Thursday, September 22 at 8:50 am

From: Town of Milton
September 22, 2022

As part of ongoing emergency preparedness work, Milton Academy will be conducting a full emergency "lock down" drill on its campus on Thursday, September 22 at 8:50 am. All individuals on campus will participate in the drill, an exercise consistent with those that have been conducted at the school over the past decade.

One of the drill’s key objectives will be to test the school’s indoor and outdoor notification systems. Residents near the school’s campus should expect to briefly hear outdoor alert tones as well as audible commands over exterior speakers during the drill. The outdoor alert tone system is one of several ways the school provides students, faculty and staff with timely information in the event of an actual emergency.

Milton Academy is committed to providing a safe and secure learning and working environment for its students and employees. The school continues to work in cooperation with the Milton Police Department to enhance emergency preparedness.
