May is Mental Health Month; Events and Resources Available

May is Mental Health Month in Lexington. Mental health is an important part of our overall wellbeing. Free and confidential resources are available in our community for people of all ages.

Throughout the month, we will be highlighting available resources and hosting a number of events focused on improving our mental health.

Take a FREE Mental Health Screening
Take your free online mental health screening today. Online screening is one of the quickest and easiest ways to determine whether you are experiencing symptoms of a mental health condition.

The first 100 Lexington residents to take a mental health screening could be entered to win a free mental health toolkit. Visit our website for details.

Mental Health Month Events

Throughout May, we have a number of great events sponsored by the Lexington Mental Health Task Force and Human Services Department.

 - Make Your Own Mental Health Tool Kit (Grades 5-12) - May 10 and 17, 4-5 PM
 - Meet Kyla, Therapy Dog - Fridays in May from 1-2 PM
 - Healthy Coping Skills for Sadness & Worry - May 9 from 1-2 PM
 - Gratitude Boxes - May 10 at either 10 AM or 1 PM
 - Coping with Change (ages 60+) - May 16 from 2-3 PM (in-person), May 30 from 2-3PM (virtual)
 - Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention Training - May 9 from 5-6 PM May 11 from 2-3 PM in-person at the Community Center and May 17 from 9-10 AM virtual.
 - Positive Affirmation Swag - free pickup at the front desk of the Community Center all month
