Expect Traffic Delays in Lexington Center in the Coming Weeks

Curb-to-curb milling of Mass. Ave. in Lexington Center will be complete by the week of September 12. This process leaves a coarse surface for traffic to travel on. Please drive with additional caution in the area.

Utility structures will be raised above the grade of the milled surface in order to meet the final pavement surface, which is scheduled for the week of September 19There are dozens of structures within the project limits, so please use caution when driving through the downtown in this interim phase. If hit at high speed, structures can cause damage to your vehicle.

Final paving of the area is tentatively scheduled for the week of September 26.

All of these dates are weather dependent, and we will update you as things change.

Parker Meadow Soft Opening September 12

Trails at Parker Meadow (along Revere Street) will be open again soon after undergoing trail improvements! During the week of September 12, there will be a soft opening of the trail, with a grand opening in October.

Work remaining include installation of native plantings in areas of disturbance, installation of a wayside interpretive panel on the viewing platform near the pond, and the installation of a story walk in collaboration with Cary Library.

Please be mindful of proper trail etiquette: Bikes yield to all other users. All dogs must be leashed.

Parking in Edison Lot in Lexington Center

Due to the construction at the Police Department, parking for Town employees at the Town Office Building will be reduced. As a result, the parking spots directly behind the NSTAR Building at the Edison Parking Lot (along Edison Way) will be designated for Town employees.

Saturday September 17, 9:00-10:30 am

Meet at the rear Diamond Middle School parking lot off Hancock St.
