Construction Update: Week of May 9-13
Work zones will be contained to zones on the north side of the street from:
-Meriam Street to Depot Square (Eastern Bank) work zone 1A
-Edison Way to Waltham Street (CVS) work zone 1B
See the current workzone maps. Work is anticipated in these areas through mid to late May.
Silva Cells will continue to be installed for the next few weeks. A new temporary walking surface will begin to be installed in these areas toward the second half of the week and into the week of May 16. Silva Cells will allow future trees to grow better in Lexington Center. Learn more about Silva Cells.
In addition to the work in the primary work areas, the contractor will be installing new benches and bike racks to the areas which were completed last construction season.
