Construction Update: Week of May 16-20
Work zones will be contained to zones on the north side of the street from:
-Meriam Street to Depot Square (Eastern Bank)
-Edison Way to Waltham Street (CVS)
-New- Waltham Street (CVS) to Depot Square
See the current work zone maps. Concrete slabs will be poured starting next week (areas 1 and 2 above) which will provide a temporary walking surface. Our contractor will begin the final brick walking surface installation the week of May 23 in these areas. Work is anticipated in these areas through late May and will primarily consist of demolition and reconstruction of the sidewalks. We will update anticipated construction duration as work progresses.
New demolition will begin from Waltham Street (CVS) to Depot Square on the north side of Massachusetts Avenue with removal of trees and landscape furniture.
