The Hudson Police Department is pleased to announce we are accepting applications for the position of FullTime Police Officer. Candidates will be required to successfully complete a physical agility examination, oral
board interview, scenario simulation, appointing authority interview, medical examination, psychological examination, comprehensive background investigation, and POST-C certification. Applicants selected who are not academy trained will attend an approved MPTC basic recruit training class.

Minimum requirements: U.S. citizen, high school graduate (college degree strongly preferred), be at least twenty-one (21) years of age at the time of appointment, must have and maintain a valid Massachusetts driver’s license, have and maintain a valid Massachusetts license to carry firearms (LTC) Class A at the time of employment, no felony convictions, must not smoke any tobacco products (MGL 41-101A), and be a person of unquestionable character and integrity that can hold a position of public trust. We are seeking highly motivated, professional, proactive police officers with a commitment to community-oriented policing. The Hudson Police Department is a progressive police department with 35 full time sworn police officers and approximately 24 civilian personnel who serve a population of approximately 20,000 residents over 11.8 square miles. The department consists of a Chief of Police, Captain, 3 Lieutenants, 6 sergeants, and 24 patrol officers. Specialty assignments include a detective bureau, motorcycle unit, school resource officers, Bicycle Response Team (BRT), CEMLEC SWAT and Motor Unit, Traffic Services Unit, K9, Community Resource Dog Unit, and Community Action Team. The department operates out of a new state of the art facility that features a fully staffed communications center, a commercial grade fitness center, training room, and conference room. The Town of Hudson is located in Middlesex County and borders the city of Marlborough and Towns of Sudbury, Stow, Bolton and Berlin.

The Hudson Police Department offers a competitive salary in accordance with N.E.P.B.A. Patrol Officers CBA, Article 18 Salaries, plus a comprehensive benefits package including full “Quinn” education incentive for qualifying degrees, health insurance, 12 paid holidays, sick time, generous paid vacation, shift differential, compensatory time, etc. Police details and overtime opportunities are available. Holidays, vacation days, personal days, uniform allowance all subject to the collective bargaining agreement.
