The Water Dept received notification on September 15, 2022 by the laboratory that a sample collected on September 14, 2022 was positive for E. coli bacteria. These bacteria can make you sick and are a particular concern for people with weakened immune systems. Bacterial contamination can occur when increased run-off enters the drinking water source (for example, following heavy rains).
