The Dedham Public Service Recognition Committee has opened the nomination period for the 2023 Award to be presented at the Spring Annual Town Meeting in May. Please review the following information provided by the Committee: 

Fellow Dedham residents,

The nominations are now open for the annual Public Service Recognition Award of the Town of Dedham. The award was created to honor and celebrate acts of service, kindness, and civic engagement by extraordinary Dedham individual(s) who create positive change, make a difference, and improve the lives of others. It is an honor that recognizes a Dedham citizen or citizens whose actions exemplify the true spirit of public service, sharing time, talent, and energy for the betterment of our community. 

The Committee will present the 2023 Public Service Recognition Award at the Spring Town Meeting in May.  

Nomination Criteria

Nominations are made by Dedham residents for Dedham residents. The nominee MUST BE performing these deeds as an act of kindness, not part of their job or role as an elected official or employee of the Town. Actions outside these roles, however, do qualify for a nomination.

Residents of any age are eligible for nomination.

Deadlines and Submission Details

All nominations must be received by FRIDAY, MARCH 3, 2023 at 4:00 P.M.

All nominations must be submitted to the Committee, either electronically or written.

Paper nomination forms are available at the Ames Senior Center (450 Washington Street), Dedham Public Library, Main Branch (43 Church Street), or Dedham Public Library, Endicott Branch (257 Mt. Vernon Street). Please mail hardcopy forms to:
