Here is a look-ahead at the construction work planned for the Public Safety Building, from January 23, 2023 to January 27, 2023

Project Overview:

Construction of a combined public safety building commenced in December 2020 on the site of the former Town Hall at 26 Bryant Street. The new building will house the staff and equipment of Fire, Police, and Dispatch departments. The new combined Public Safety Building will replace two older Town buildings: Police Station at 600 High Street (built in 1962) and the Fire Station at 436 Washington Street (built in 1952). The new building is scheduled to open in early 2023 with final completion later this year.

Update as of January 20, 2023: The anticipated move-in date is March 3, 2023 and the project remains on budget.
