Town of Conway - Mohawk Trails Woodlands Partnership Announcement

From: Town of Conway
June 22, 2022

The Mohawk Trail Woodlands Partnership (MTWP) is currently in the process of updating its 10-year Partnership Plan (2023-2033) and is seeking comments and feedback from residents of Northwestern Massachusetts and members of the public on this updated Plan. If you have suggestions for ways that the Partnership could support your town, or ideas for what you’d like to see the Woodlands Partnership focus on moving forward, this is a good chance to have your voice heard.

The mission of the Mohawk Trail Woodlands Partnership is to support rural economic development and forest conservation in a 21-town region of Western Franklin and Northern Berkshire counties. The Partnership is a unique, homegrown effort to both conserve our forests and enhance the region’s rural, land-based economy through collaboration with member towns, local nonprofit and academic organizations, the U.S. Forest Service, and the MA Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs.

Anyone interested in the future of this corner of the Commonwealth is encouraged to review the draft Partnership Plan posted on the website at http://www.mohawktrailwoodlandspartnership.org/partnership-plan.html. A comment portal is available at the same web address.
