Town Of Chelmsford - Thank You For Licensing Your Dog

From: Town Of Chelmsford
June 24, 2022

Licensing your dog is required by Massachusetts State Law!

Late dog citation fees went into effect on June 15th, bringing the current fees for license renewals to $80 for spayed/neutered dogs and $85 for unaltered dogs.

In an attempt to contact every dog owner before the implementation of citation fees, the Town Clerk's Office made the following efforts:
- Emailed citation reminder notices to all dog owners with an email address on file

- Mailed physical reminders to every dog owner without an email address on file.

- Made over 800 phone calls in the two weeks leading up to June 15th.

If your dog license has expired, you can renew your license online here. If you have a new dog in town, please come into the office your send your application and rabies certificate to dogs@chelmsfordma.gov.

Please call the Clerk's Office at 978-250-5205 or email us at dogs@chelmsfordma.gov with any questions.
