Open Positions: COA Outreach Workers

The Town of Brewster seeks qualified applicants for one part-time and one full time Outreach Worker for the Council on Aging (COA). Position is responsible for administrative, technical, and professional work in planning, coordinating, and implementing social services for seniors.  Duties include but are not limited to; serves as advocate for seniors; assists clients with gaining access to public assistance and support programs such as fuel assistance, food programs, and adult day programs; conducts SHINE counseling and provides information to seniors on Medicare and MassHealth. Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field; minimum 3 years of related work experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training & experience. SHINE certificate or ability to become certified in first year. Grade 5 Personnel Bylaw position with a starting pay rate of $27.68 – $29.35 per hour. Open Position: Building Custodian

The Town of Brewster seeks applicants for a Building Custodian. Position is responsible for cleaning and maintenance of town buildings and grounds. Duties include, but are not limited tocleaning of restrooms; disposal of trash throughout the buildings; prepares conference rooms for events and meetings; snow removal to ensure safe access to buildings and securing buildings at end of work shift. High School diploma required and minimum of 1 year experience in the maintenance of buildings preferred, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience; evenings required. Beach Parking Permits

A reminder that beach parking permits are required for all Town beaches from June 15 – September 4, 2022, 9am to 4pm. Full details can be found here: 2022 Beach Information.

Vehicles parked without a permit will be fined $40.00 – this is strictly enforced by the Brewster Police Department.
