Town Day, Sept. 17 9:30AM-3PM 
Fireworks over Spy Pond at dusk, no other activities planned. 
Join us for the return of Arlington Town Day for its 44th year. Festivities include music, food, demonstrations and activities with over 200 booth vendors. Town Day takes place along Massachusetts Avenue between Pleasant Street and Jason Street, 9:30 a.m - 3 p.m. Please note this area of Mass. Ave. will be closed as well as access to Mass. Ave. from adjoining side streets. MBTA has rerouted its bus routes accordingly. Traffic delays are expected. Visitors are encouraged to walk to the event, if possible. View a full schedule of events compiled by Arlington Chamber of Commerce.

AFD Touch-a-Truck and Smoke House, Jaws of Life Demos 
Demonstrations are behind the library

Arlington Fire Fighters will provide fire safety demonstrations from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. behind the library. Metro Fire SAFE’s Smoke House, a 3-room trailer designed to teach children about fire hazards in the home. Jaws of Life demonstrations (11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.) and touch-a-truck opportunities are also planned.  

APD Family Services Team and K9 Eiko Demos 
APD booth at Mass and Robbins library. 

Arlington police will be providing public safety information and discussion at their booth on Mass Ave. at the Robbins Library entrance throughout Town Day. The Family Services Team will be on hand to provide assistance on a wide range of topics. K9 Officer Michael Hogan along with the APD's K9 Eiko will be conducting demonstrations (10:00 a.m., noon, and 2:00 p.m.) in the Robbins Library parking lot. 

Free Drinking Water at Town Day - BYO Water Bottle
Find the ZW Zone between Academy and Jason Streets.

When you crave a drink of water at Town Day you’ll be able to quench that thirst at a kiosk sponsored by the Zero Waste Committee’s campaign to reduce single-use plastics in Arlington. Bring your water bottle, travel mug, or cup to the ZW zone between Academy and Jason Streets and fill up for free! Arlington’s tap water is a healthy, delicious, and a valuable resource. The new Arlington on Tap campaign aims to make drinking water access more convenient for people on the go.
