Town Hall Update June 16 
In his last Town Hall Update as Arlington’s Town Manager, Adam Chapdelaine reports the state approved the Arlington Housing Plan, the launch of an Affordable Housing Survey, an invite to attend the Arlington Reservoir Grand Opening on June 18, and apologies for recent trash delays. In his closing remarks, Chapdelaine said “Arlington is a wonderful place and is in good hands.” Among many comments, his wish for the community, and government in general, “to find pathways … to respect each other’s humanity... to be hard on the issues and easy on the people.” View the video update.

June 17 Town Manager Reception
The Town is hosting a reception for long-time Town Manager, Adam W. Chapdelaine, to celebrate his service to Arlington and to wish him well in the future. The public is cordially invited to attend this reception on June 17, 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. in Town Hall Auditorium. Take the Affordable Housing Survey by June 30  
Residents invited to get involved in summer engagement activities. 
The Arlington Affordable Housing Trust announces the kick-off of a summer of community engagement to inform its five-year Action Plan, beginning with a community-wide Affordable Housing Survey. The Action Plan is a community-informed plan that will help the Trust prioritize actions and strategies to create and preserve affordable housing in Arlington. The Affordable Housing Survey is the first of several opportunities for community members to inform the Trust on the types of affordable housing activities that should be prioritized. Learn more and take the survey!  

State Approves Arlington Housing Plan 
Plan sets housing production goals, recommends strategies for increasing housing choice. 

The Department of Planning and Community Development is pleased to announce that the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development has approved the Arlington Housing Plan as the Town’s official Housing Production Plan. The five-year plan replaces the Town’s 2016 Housing Production Plan which expired in the fall of 2021. Informed by data, research, and community engagement, the plan shares a vision and specific ways that Arlington can lead on providing housing options for a range of people. Learn more and read the Housing Plan.

Reminder: June 18 Arlington Reservoir Grand Opening 
Music, food, and games to celebrate the newly renovated Res. 

Join Arlington Parks and Recreation Commission, Town and state officials for the grand opening of the newly renovated Arlington Reservoir on Saturday, June 18th. The event runs from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and will have music, food, and games, with a ribbon cutting at 10:30 a.m. Event is free.
