Sept. 22 DPCD Update
In this DPCD Update, Assistant DPCD Director, Kelly Lynema invites the public to meet the Town’s new DPCD Director, Claire Ricker, on September 29th. Medford Street Restriping
Share how you utilize Medford Street to inform future roadway design.

The Town is studying alternatives for restriping Medford Street, following the repaving work completed by DPW this past summer. The community is invited to share their feedback on how they utilize Medford Street, and what they’d like to see regarding safety and usage improvements. Take the survey.

Affordable Housing Trust Action Plan Update

Town awards ARPA Grants to 22 Small Businesses and Nonprofits
More than $860,000 was awarded to eligible recipients.

The Town has awarded American Rescue Plan Act funds to 22 local businesses and nonprofit organizations through the Transformative Growth Grants Program. Grants will assist local businesses and nonprofits that were negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic grow and become more resilient. Read more at arlingtonma.gov/arpa

Town Opens Applications for Housing Stability Program
Federal funding will support renters and homeowners.

The Town has opened applications for the Arlington Housing Stability Program. This program provides up to three months of rental and mortgage assistance to Arlington households that have a low or middle income and have been financially impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Rental and mortgage assistance of up to $2,500 per month is available to Arlington households. Translations and reasonable accommodations are available. Households may submit an application and learn more at arlingtonma.gov/arpa.

Oct. 20 Mass Ave / Appleton Street Safety & Accessibility Corridor Project Public
The Town invites residents, neighbors, businesses, and interested persons to the next public meeting of the Mass Ave/Appleton Street Safety & Accessibility Corridor Project on Tuesday, October 18th, 7:00pm at the Arlington Town Hall Auditorium. Potential project concept designs for the Mass Ave corridor (from Quinn Road to Richardson Avenue) will be shared at the public meeting. The meeting will review what the design seeks to achieve based on public input from the previous meetings. All are welcome to review the concept design, provide direct feedback, and discuss how the concept addresses the project goals for the Mass Ave corridor. Add to your iCalendar for this in-person meeting.

CDBG CAPER Public Comment. Ends Sept. 23
The Town of Arlington Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program has released its draft Program Year 47 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER). The CAPER covers CDBG community development goals undertaken from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022. It is available for review and public comment through Friday, September 23, 2022 at arlingtonma.gov/cdbg.
