It's school vacation week! That means there are lots of activities for the kids happening at the library. But if you take a look below at this very long newsletter, there are lots of activities for adults as well. We invite you to join us for whichever events fit you best. Holiday Closing
The Jones Library & Branches will be closed on Sunday, February 19 and Monday, February 20 in observance of Presidents' Day.
Regular hours resume on Tuesday, February 21.
Ukulele Play Along
Monday, February 20 from 7:00 - 7:45 pm
Grab your ukulele and play along - because playing your ukulele is more fun when you do it with others. We'll be focusing on 3 and 4 chord songs, with lyrics and chords provided on screen. Participants will be muted, so don't worry about how you sound.

Lego Club
Tuesday, February 21 from 3:00 - 4:30 pm
Join kids room staff for drop-in Lego Club! We'll provide the Legos, you bring the ideas. At the end of our building time, we invite you to take a picture of your creation in our special Lego photobooth before we race to see how quickly we can put away 2,000 Lego pieces! This program is recommended for kids ages 5 - 10. Caregivers are required to stay within the Woodbury Room, where grown-up workspace will be provided!
Book Collecting with Ken Gloss
Tuesday, February 21 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Kenneth Gloss, proprietor of the internationally known Brattle Book Shop in Boston, will give an in-person presentation on the value of old and rare books. He has many fascinating anecdotes to share, as well as guidelines for what to look for when starting a collection. There will be a Q & A session before the conclusion of his talk.
The talk is co-sponsored by the Jones Library and the Amherst Historical Society.
