The Town of Stow is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Outreach Coordinator for the Council on Aging. This part-time (15 hrs./wk.) position plans, organizes, coordinates, and runs all activities, special events and field trips for Stow seniors. Responsible for creating the COA monthly newsletter and activity calendar. Provides support services to Stow seniors. Visit, assists and advocates for seniors and their families to assess needs, make appropriate referrals to other agencies, facilitate access to needed services that contribute to independent living. Assists in meeting the goals of the COA.

Requires minimum of an Associate degree, and 3 years’ experience, or equivalent combination of training and experience, working in a social service, public health, or related field desirable. Strong computer skills are a must in addition to excellent communication, written and organizational skills. Must have ability to keep confidences, be friendly and patient, and enjoy helping seniors/disabled residents. Must maintain client databases and accurate files. Must be able to provide own vehicle, have a valid driver’s license, and be cleared in a CORI check. Must be able to multitask, be flexible, a team player and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability of problem solving.

Salary is Grade 4 of the Town’s Compensation and Wage Schedule, $25.14 per hour. Position open until filled with resumes reviewed on a rolling basis.
