Please be advised, we are closed on Saturdays between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Our open hours for the summer are Tu/Th/F 9-5 and W 11-7. But remember, our Library @ Home is always open at newburylibrary.org/books/libraryathome
Adult Summer Reading
June 1 - September 2
Summer reading is BACK! This year's theme is "Read Beyond the Beaten Path". The way we do summer reading is with a Summer Reading Challenge card pack. Each pack contains 8 cards, and each card contains 7 challenges. Complete at least 5 of the 7 challenges to complete a card. For every completed card you turn in, you’ll be entered into the Grand Prize Raffle.
The prize is a 1 year membership for the Trustees of Reservations, a gift card to Jabberwocky in Newburyport and a gift card for a coffee shop. More information will be on our website soon.
New Assistant Director!
We would like to welcome Dorothy Moynihan as our new Assistant Director of the Newbury Town Library! She previously worked in a variety of roles at the Amesbury Public Library, most recently as the Technical Services/ Reference Librarian. She loves a good mystery or a dramatic T.V show. If you see her around the library please feel free to say hi.
Art Installation
Art on display at the Newbury Town Library is entitled The Natural Landmarks of Newbury and features work by Dorothy Aham and Jeanne Anderson. It will be installed on June 5, 2022, and remain on display through July 9, 2022.
There will be a reception on Saturday, June 18 from 11:00 - 5:00. Feel free to pop by during those hours.
