The Bridge’s Annual Trivia Bee Fundraiser To Return In-Person On March 25

From: City Of Melrose
March 3, 2023

The Bridge’s annual Trivia Bee Fundraiser, a highly competitive pub-style trivia game, is returning as an in-person event for the first time since 2019 on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 7 p.m. at Memorial Hall located at 590 Main Street. Registration is currently open.

The Trivia Bee Fundraiser brings together multiple teams of 2-4 players that compete in four rounds of highly competitive pub-style trivia. Teams can be made up of friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, or anyone who enjoys participating in trivia. For more information and to register a team, please visit https://www.thebridgemelrose.org.

The Trivia Bee is The Bridge’s largest fundraiser and provides the majority of the community’s portion of the operating budget for the organization. This event and the funds collected from it allow The Bridge to continue to screen and place volunteers in the City’s schools, provide centralized volunteer management that benefits both volunteers and educators, and offer the organization the ability to find new opportunities to serve Melrose’s schools and community.

Volunteers placed by The Bridge are crucial assets to the Melrose Public School system. They spend thousands of hours each year helping in areas the schools need it the most. The Bridge ensures that all volunteers helping keep activities running are safe people and have the resources they need to continue to help Melrose schools.

Residents interested in becoming volunteers through The Bridge can visit their website and click “Register to Volunteer” on the homepage.

About The Bridge

All event proceeds directly benefit The Bridge, a 501c3 non-profit organization that recruits, screens, trains, and places volunteers in the eight Melrose Public Schools. The Bridge provides centralized volunteer management that benefits both volunteers and educators alike. Volunteers give thousands of hours to Melrose schools each year. Bridge volunteers enrich educational opportunities for all Melrose students from preschool through high school – they work in elementary libraries, serve as PTO leaders, chaperone field trips, share career information with students, and much more. The Bridge is working hard to expand career and college planning opportunities.
