T4MA Statement on Final Budget Including Funding for Reduced Fares on RTAs

Statement from T4MA Community Engagement Manager and Regional Transit Authority Advocates Coalition, Elise Mason:

“Thank you Governor Baker and the Legislature for providing funding for low-income and free fares for riders on the Regional Transit Authorities. This funding will reduce the burden on RTA riders who are facing surging prices for everyday items like gas, groceries, utilities and housing. We look forward to expanding this program to include low-income riders on the MBTA."
