Summer at the Library 2022!

The party starts on June 23rd and the official first day of Summer Reading is June 27th.  This summer's theme is Read Beyond the Beaten Path and each week programs will be themed after a different summer camp. For more information please visit our online events calendar.

We’ll be welcoming in Summer Reading with this all-ages library party! Join us for the following fun on Thursday, June 23rd:
- Local Author Showcase 2:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.
- Lawn Games 2:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.
- Children's Activities 2:00 p.m.–3:30 p.m.
- Teen Games 2:00 p.m.–3:30 p.m.
- Ice Cream from Uhlmans 2:00 p.m.–3:00 p.m.
- Magic with Scott Jameson 3:30 p.m.–4:20 p.m. (This program requires admittance tickets. Tickets will be available for the program the day before and up to the show, while supplies last.)

Summer Reading 2022

Join us online using Beanstack (a free reading tracking software/app) to track the hours you read and for chances to win cool prizes!

Children's Room Prize Wheel
Each time a kid visits the library this summer, they are welcome to spin our prize wheel! Prizes include toys, books, Davis Farmland passes, and more!

Community StoryWalks®!

This month's StoryWalk® at Lake Street Park is A Friend Like You by Frank Murphy. This wonderful community book was done in partnership with Shrewsbury Parks & Recreation and the Friends of the Library.

In partnership with the Shrewsbury Town Center Association, the library has started a new StoryWalk®.  The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt can be found on the windows of businesses on Main Street.
