Reuse Of COA And Former West Library – Call ForResidents To Join Advisory Board

From: Town of Boxford
October 19, 2022

The Boxford Select Board has created the Adaptive Reuse of Buildings Advisory Committee to consider a comprehensive analysis of potential reuses for the current Council on Aging building at 4 Middleton Rd. and the former West Library at 188 Washington Street. The Advisory Committee will help the Select Board create a plan for the reuse of the buildings.  The analysis should include future uses by the municipality as well as the potential benefits of disposing of any of these properties.

The 7-member Advisory Committee includes an at-large member of the public.  Residents interested in volunteering to participate in the Advisory Committee should send an email with resume attached to the Town Administrator’s office at lmihalchik@boxfordma.gov.  Please include a summary of your interest in applying to be on the Advisory Committee and any skills or experience that would be useful for the Committee.  The Select Board is planning to appoint the at-large member at its October 24, 2022 meeting.

There will be other ways for the public to participate.   The Committee will determine the public participation process, which could include an electronic public survey, stakeholder interviews, and public forums.
