Movers and Shakers: Wednesday, September 7 at 10:30am. Let's stretch! Let's move! Let's sing and dance! In this storytime we will read fun movement-based stories and then have lots of fun moving and dancing to some familiar rhymes and songs. Each class will begin with some light stretching, and end with a moment of mindfulness. For ages 2-4.

Draw Along: Tigers! Wednesday, September 7 at 4pm. Draw Along Creatures continues with a focus on tigers! After creating a drawing of this popular animal from simple shapes, the artist instructor will show you how to create scenes from just your imagination. Space is limited. Registration (required) is only available for ages 7-10.

Wake Up Sunshine Storytime: Thursday, September 8 at 10:30am OR 11:15am. Join us for storytimes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Start your day with stories, songs and rhymes led by Newton Free Library children’s librarians. For children 0-4 and their caregivers.

Ozobots are back! We have six Ozobots available for in-library use only. Come to the desk in the children’s room to check out an Ozobot for all kinds of robotic fun.

Dance Me a Story: Monday, September 12 at 11am. The Joanne Langione Dance Center brings us this fun, family event where music, movement and literature align to encourage exploration and imaginative play!

Virtual Pajama Time! Monday, September 12 at 7pm. Get ready for bed by listening to these stories and songs that will help you drift off to dreamland. Put on your pajamas, cuddle with a loved one and bring your favorite stuffed animal friend! For kids ages 3 and up.

Matt Heaton Family Singalong: Wednesday, September 14 at 10:30am. Matt Heaton brings an infectious energy to his singalongs. Peppered with well known classics and a few soon-to-be classics, and performed with panache on guitar & banjo, Matt makes music for parents and kids alike.
