Newbury Town Library News - Library Construction

From: Newbury Town Library
May 24, 2022

Beginning in mid-April, The Newbury Town Library will undergo repairs to parts of the library damaged by leaks caused during a late-February freeze. The leak was caused by corrosion in the HVAC system. Water damaged walls, ceilings and carpeting in the tech services area near the circulation desk and in the hallway and rooms behind. Along with the tech services area, the plan includes repair to parts of the Director’s office, study room, and Friends of the Library’s Book Sale Room. As a result, the book sale room is temporarily closed until the renovation is complete. The library has put a temporary hold on receiving book donations until the repairs are complete.

The library itself plans to be open for all services throughout the renovation, which should last about six weeks.
Thank you for your patience!
