New at Featured Artist On Exhibit Throughout January 2024

Throughout January, the extraordinary paintings of Libia Goncalves will be on display behind the Information Desk. Originally from Columbia, Libia worked as a medical technologist for many years and is currently pursuing a second Bachelor’s degree in art from Worcester State University. A member of the Blackstone Valley Artists’ Association (BVAA), Libia is a highly accomplished painter in watercolor, oil and acrylics and has taught in her home studio and also at the library and demonstrated her craft on Milford TV. Libia tells us that, “Painting used to be a hobby, now it is my passion, my obsession, it has become a necessity.”
