We've added a new service!

The Millis Public Library is pleased to announce your library card now gives you access to Kanopy!

Kanopy is an on-demand streaming video service that offers thousands of award-winning documentaries, training films and theatrical releases across diverse subjects and disciplines. By providing access to a variety of independent filmmakers and distributors -- including the BBC, PBS and the Criterion Collection--  it will be a welcome addition to your streaming services!

Your library card gives you five credits a month that you can spend on movies or shows.

Kanopy Kids: You have unlimited plays for videos in the Kanopy Kids section.

The Great Courses Series: The Great Courses series don't use play credits, but your library may set a monthly limit on the number of series you can watch.

Family Outdoor Movie Night is back! Join us on Friday, August 19th at 8 pm in the Library Courtyard for a movie on the big screen.

The featured film will be Luca (PG, 1 hr 40 min). Set in a beautiful seaside town on the Italian Riviera, Disney and Pixar's original feature film "Luca" is a coming-of-age story about one young boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides. Luca (voice of Jacob Tremblay) shares these adventures with his newfound best friend, Alberto (voice of Jack Dylan Grazer), but all the fun is threatened by a deeply-held secret: they are sea monsters from another world just below the water's surface.

Bring chairs or blankets to sit on and your snacks and prepare for a fun evening, and come a half-hour early to take part in a complementary craft hosted by Miss Rachel!

Please check back either the event calendar or the website the day of the event for weather-related cancellations. Rain date will be the following Friday, August 26th.
