This Week at the Jones Library

The flowers are blooming and the trees are budding, and a few more sunny days would be welcome as spring continues to make itself known.  And since spring is springing, we're holding more events in our front lawn tent. We've got another long newsletter for you this week - lots of fun things happening at the library!  Check it out!

Library Magazine Giveaway

Saturday, April 23 from 9:30 am - 5:00 pm

Calling all teachers, craftspeople, and anyone looking for magazines for projects!  We will be holding our annual giveaway of discarded magazines all day on Saturday, April 23.  Find these free issues under the tent on the library's front lawn.

Please note:  We are giving away our magazines only - no need to bring your old magazines to swap!

The Stolen Beam Series registration deadline:  Monday, April 25

Would you welcome a place to learn why some people are talking about reparations for African-Americans?  A 5-session class will be held at the Jones Library in May, called The Stolen Beam Series, co-sponsored by the Jones Library and the African Heritage Reparation Assembly. This educational series was developed by members of the Reparations Committee of the Jewish Community of Amherst and will be facilitated by members of that committee.

The class will meet IN PERSON in the Woodbury Room of the Jones Library for five consecutive Tuesdays in May from 7:00 - 8:20 pm. Space is limited to 15 participants in this study series.  This course requires reading, viewing, active participation, and a commitment to show up for each session, except for extenuating circumstances. Learn more and register by Monday, April 25th!
