In Case You Missed It: Watch The State Of The City On Youtube

From: City Of Melrose
March 6, 2023

Melrose Mayor Paul Brodeur delivered his State of the City Address in-person (for the first time!) on Monday, February 27.

The event was hosted by Melrose High School (MHS) Seniors Braden Marceau-Olayinka and Ella Arens and began with a performance by Blue of a Kind, followed by the singing of the National Anthem by MHS senior Nico Mohan, the pledge of allegiance delivered by members of Melrose Boy Scout Troop 651, and concluded with remarks and a presentation by Mayor Brodeur, who highlighted past-year achievements, addressed current community challenges including the City's Public Safety Buildings, and plans for 2023, and beyond.

In case you missed it, you can watch the address or on YouTube, thanks to MMTV, which recorded and aired the event on their YouTube channel and local cable channels, 22 for Comcast and 38 for Verizon. Here is the direct link to the recording: www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNadl4nrFx8&t=67s

The State of the City Address, also known as the State of the City Speech, is a speech customarily given once each year by the mayors or city managers of many cities in the United States. Last year, Mayor Brodeur delivered his first State of the City Address virtually.
