Happy September! We have lots of fun programs planned this month, and we are looking forward to you joining us.

Just a reminder that we will be closed on Saturday, September 2nd and Monday, September 4th.

Help your child prepare for one of life’s biggest milestones: Kindergarten

The goal is to read 1,000 books (yes, you can repeat books!) before your little one starts kindergarten.

Lapsit
Monday, September 11th and 25th at 10AM

Join us for a baby storytime! Shakers, scarves, and bubbles- oh my!
Program geared at ages 0-2 (older siblings welcome)

Little Explorers
Monday, September 18th at 10AM
(No Little Explorers on Monday, September 4th)

Bring your little one in to explore some new types of activities and materials with other little ones.
Program is geared towards ages 0-2 (older siblings welcome)

Creation Station
Tuesdays at 11AM

Experiment with some new types of art, materials, and styles.
Wear old clothes--sometimes we get messy!
This program is for ages 3-5

Jump & Jam with Joanna
Wednesdays at 10AM
Join Joanna for a morning of dance, music, and fun! Bring your singing voice and your dance moves and get ready to jam.
This program is for ages 0-5.

Pre-K Storytime
Thursdays at 10AM

Join us for reading adventures at Pre-K Storytime! We will read stories, play games, do crafts, and have oodles of fun.
This program geared at children who are 3 to 5 years old.

Specialty Programs

Half-Day Crafternoon
Friday, September 1st at 2PM

Half-day? No way! Come on down and play! We'll have lots of fun creating a back to school craft.

Geared at ages 6-11.

No Registration Required!

Acting and Improv Games
Tuesday, September 5th at 6PM

Join us in playing some acting and improvisation games! We will play various games and exercises, and have oodles of fun. All you need is to bring your silly self and be ready to say "yes, and...!"

Art Club: Hilma AF Klint
Saturday, September 9th at 11AM

Art club is back and this month we are learning all about Hilma AF Klint and the first ever abstract paintings!

Tech Time
Wednesday, September 13th at 6PM

Come explore with our electronic toys! Build your own creation, and see what you can make it do. We have stuff for all levels!

Sensory Stimulation
Tuesday, September 19th at 4PM

Explore different sensory based crafts and activities. Make your own calming bottle and stress ball, and play with bubble wrap and shaving cream while listening to quiet music.

Kids Lit Book Club: Big Tree
Saturday, September 23rd at 11AM

Join Megan this month in reading Big Tree by Brian Selznick! We will have a group discussion about the book and do a related activity. There will also be snacks!

Once you have registered, please stop by the library to pick up a copy of Big Tree to read in advance of the meeting.

Recommended for ages 7-11 (grades 2-6), but this may vary depending on your reading level! Don't be intimidated by the size of the book! Big Tree looks long, but there are TONS of illustrations and many pages where there is only one line of text.

Pajama Storytime
Tuesday, September 26th at 6PM

Join Joanna for a special family pajama storytime! We will read stories, play games, do crafts, and have lots of fun. Feel free to wear your pajamas and bring your favorite stuffed animal.

For up to age 8.

When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Science!
Thursday, September 28th at 6PM

Using lemons and lemonade, kids will learn about acids, basics, and simple chemical reactions. Kids will go home with a delicious lemonade that changes color!
