Holiday Closure

The Library will be closed Monday, September 5 in observance of Labor Day. The Library will reopen to the public on Tuesday, September 6 at 10AM.

Saturday Hours Begin 

The Library will be open on Saturdays starting on Saturday, September 10! The Library will be open on Saturdays from 9AM to 1PM until the end of June.

Good Luck Haley!

Our Circulation Librarian, Haley Hart, has accepted the position of Head of Circulation at the Winchester Public Library. Her last day in Georgetown will be on Friday, September 2. We welcome the Georgetown community to come into the library on Friday, September 2 to say their farewells and congratulate Haley on her new position.

Family Outdoor Story Time
Fridays in September at 10AM

Join our Children's Librarians outside as they will read stories under a tree on the library lawn and then provide a fun outdoor activity! Bring a blanket and snack. If the weather does not cooperate the story time will be held inside the library. This program is for all ages.

Understanding Your Cat with Dr. Rachel Geller

Tips & Tricks For Searching Newspapers Online
Monday, September 26 at 7PM

Television researcher Janeen Bjork will demonstrate how to access both free and fee online newspaper resources, including their interfaces, and the best practices for searching on your own. Register online.

Bouncing Books and Babies
Tuesdays at 10AM starting Tuesday, September 27

Ages 6 months to 2 1/2 years
Program will include two to three books, songs, finger-plays, and circle games.

Gosling Gathering Story Time
Tuesdays at 11AM starting Tuesday, September 27

Ages 2 to 5 years.
Three to four books will be read. Children and parents will also participate in songs, finger-plays, and a simple craft.

Pajama Story Time
Wednesday, September 28 at 6:45PM

Come to the library for a fun evening!  3-4 books, songs, rhymes and a quiet activity will be offered.  Wearing pajamas is encouraged.  This program is for all ages.

Cardboard Challenge
Friday, September 30 at 3PM

International Cardboard Challenge is October 1.  Celebrate a day early at the Library. Families and students of all ages are invited to drop in and create a masterpiece with cardboard.  The materials will be provided by the Library. Just bring your imagination!

MA Children’s Book Awards Book Club

Join us for our first ever MCBA Book Club, for kids in 4th -6th grade and their parents or caregivers (optional).  We will be picking our selections from the 2022-2023 Massachusetts Children's Book Award nominees.  Our first meeting will be informational: come and let us know what you think will make for a fun way to read good books together! Please register so we can get a head count.

Senior Center Book Group
