Holiday Closure

The Library will be closed on Monday, February 20 in observance of the Presidents Day holiday. The Library will reopen on Tuesday, February 21 at 10AM.

PJ Drive

Starting on February 3 through February 25, the Library will be collecting new pajamas from sizes 0-3 months through adult medium. Please do not give pajamas that include any family or holiday references.  The drop box will be in the library lobby. Click here for more information.

Art Exhibit and Reception: John-Paul Jimenez

The Library is pleased to exhibit artist John-Paul Jimenez's work for another month! Please stop by the library if you haven't yet to view his work. The Library will be hosting another artist reception on Wednesday, February 22 at 6PM.

Wowbrary

Wowbrary is a nonprofit service that provides you free weekly emails and RSS feeds about the most recent items added and available at the library! Click here for more information and how to sign up!

Stuffed Animal Sleepover
Friday, February 3 

Drop off a stuffed friend between 1-4:30PM along with a PJ donation (the donation is optional).  Make sure the stuffed friend is not a favorite. During the drop off you will get a chance to fill out a permission slip and nametag for your stuffed friend.  Kids go home and the animals will sleep over at the library! Register online.

Pictures of your stuffed friends will be posted on our web page and Facebook the next morning. Pick up your stuffed friend the next morning Saturday, February 4 between 9 AM through 12 PM.

Pajama Story Time

Come to the library for a fun evening!  3-4 books, songs, rhymes and a quiet activity will be offered.  Wearing pajamas is encouraged.  This program is for all ages.

Teen Event: Dungeons & Dragons
For those in grades 7-12!
Wednesdays, February 1 and 15 at 3PM

Join us for adventure!  Everything you need to play is provided, all you have to do is show up.  All skill levels are welcome. Max 6 players per session, first come, first served.

The History of America's Kitchens
Monday, February 6 at 7PM

Historic New England curator Nancy Carlisle will discuss how the American kitchen has evolved from the seventeenth-century to the present. Register online.

50+ Job Seekers Networking Group
January to June 2023

More than 60 Massachusetts public libraries have partnered to offer this program to support people fifty years and older looking for a new job, a new career direction, or a Second Act career. Take advantage of these free biweekly skill-building and networking group meetings. Attendance at each session is not necessary! Click here for more information and where to register.

Reading to a Library Dog
Monday, February 6 at 4PM

Come and read to Aston, a certified therapy dog. Registration is required. This program is designed to help develop reading skills and is recommended for children who want to practice their reading fluency. 

Bouncing Books & Babies
Tuesdays at 10AM until Tuesday, February 28

Ages 6 months to 2 1/2 years
Program will include two to three books, songs, finger-plays, and circle games.

Gosling Gathering Story Time
Tuesdays at 11AM until Tuesday, February 28

Ages 2 to 5 (siblings are welcome). Three to four books will be read. Children and parents will also participate in songs, finger-plays, and a simple craft.

Teen Event: Painting Happy Lil Minis
For those in grades 7-12!
Wednesday, February 8 at 3PM

Join Teen Librarian Kyle as he teaches you how to paint a noble space warrior! All materials provided. Registration required.

Family Story Time
Fridays at 10AM until Friday, March 3

All ages! Three to four books will be read. Children and parents will also participate in songs, finger-plays, and a simple craft.

Come hang as we turn the Library into a gaming paradise!  There’s nothing quite like playing the Switch on our giant projector screen!

Chess Club
Friday, Febuary 17 at 3:30PM

For students in 3rd - 6th grade. An informal gathering of students interested in playing chess with others.  A knowledge of how to play chess is recommended.  The chess boards and pieces will be provided.  Register online.

LEGO Build
Tuesday, February 21 at 2PM

Families are invited to drop in between 2PM-4PM to build a creation with LEGOs!  Ideas and LEGOs will be provided.  A photo gallery of the creations will be created following the program.

Family Crafternoon
Friday, February 24 at 2PM

Looking for something to do during school vacation?  Drop into the Meeting Room between 2PM-4PM and get crafty!
