Hello friends!

Are you looking for things to keep you busy during school vacation week? Look no further than the library! We have programs for all ages - from your littles to your teens! Check out all of our offerings below.

Programs

Bright Star Touring Theatre will be performing their show, Heroes of the Underground Railroad.

Watch as the Heroes of the Underground Railroad come to life. This play highlights several of the heroic stories of the brave men and women who dared to escape slavery, and the abolitionists who risked everything to aid them along the way. Your audiences will be amazed at the heroics of Harriet Tubman, Henry “Box” Brown, Frederick Douglass, Levi Coffin, and John Parker in this incredible show of true American Heroes.

The show is best for children in Kindergarten - 5th grade, but all family members are welcome to attend.

Creation Station
Tuesday at 11am

Experiment with some new types of art, materials, and styles.

Wear old clothes--sometimes we get messy!

Lotus Flower Suncatchers
Tuesday at 6pm

Join us as we color Jumbo Lotus Flower suncatchers! A variety of colorful Sharpies will be provided, as well as ribbon to hang the suncatchers.

As we’re using permanent markers, this program is geared toward 6-11 year olds.

Wednesday at 2pm

Squelch through school vacation with this slime-tastic program!

Valentines BINGO
Wednesday at 6pm

Come play BINGO and win some candy! For families and children up to age 14.

Marble Painting
Friday at 3pm

Come paint—with marbles! Coat your marbles in paint, then roll them over the page to make beautiful abstract art!

Pre-K Storytimers!
Wednesday at 10am

Join us for reading adventures at Pre-K Storytimers!! We will read stories, play games, do crafts, and have oodles of fun.

This program geared at children who are 3 to 5 years old.

Jump & Jam with Joanna
Thursday at 10am

Join Joanna for a morning of dance, music, and fun! Bring your singing voice and your dance moves and get ready to jam.

For children 0-5. Registration is appreciated.

Storytime with Calico
Thursday at 5pm
It’s time for storytime! Come read books, sing songs, and do crafts with Abigail and her storytime assistant, Calico the Cat Puppet!

Teen Programming

OneUp Games will be on site hosting a Super Smash Bros Ultimate tournament on Nintendo Switch! Come battle other players and see if you have what it takes to win it all!

Cartographer Cat Scully teaches how to draw world maps for your book, DND campaign, and more. Use tools like watercolor paints, colored pencils, and Micron pens to bring your world to life. Cat has illustrated over 30 world maps for books and video games, including the Brooklyn Brujas series by Zoraida Cordova and Kagen the Damned by Jonathan Maberry.
