Join the Duxbury Free Library in celebrating Climate Prep Week 2022 during the week of Sept 24th-30th!

Climate Prep Week is a national initiative from Communities Responding to Extreme Weather (CREW). Libraries, schools, and community spaces across the country will be holding programs related to preparing for climate change's impact.

On Tuesday, September 27th at 6:30pm, we will be hosting a Zoom program called "Climate Change--Are You Prepared?" with 2 climate scientists from UMass Lowell. Professors Tom Shea and Jarrod Hayes from UMass Lowell Climate Change Initiative will be discussing their work at the Initiative, along with how we all can be prepared for climate change.

On Wednesday, September 28th at 6:30pm in the Merry Room, we will be having an in-person author talk with Paige NeJame, a contributing author to the new book The Carbon Almanac. We have multiple copies of The Carbon Almanac here at the library for check out. This book details facts about climate change that will allow everyone to understand what is happening to our Earth. NeJame is also a local author who wrote a majority of her contributions to the book here at the library, so make sure you come on by to meet her!
