City Of Melrose : Join A First Day Hike On New Year’s Day

The Department of Conservation (DCR) and the Friends of the Middlesex Fells invite the Melrose community to start off the New Year with a sprinkling of good company and a cup of hot chocolate after a First Day Hike on Sunday, January 1, 2023, from 10 a.m. —12 p.m. at the Middlesex Fells.

This 1–2-mile hike will begin at the Botume House Visitor Center located at 4 Woodland Road in Stoneham. Register for the hike by visiting https://friendsofthefells.wildapricot.org/event-5073112/Registration

Looking for a hike specific to families and little walkers?

Join the special Hike 'n' Seek with DCR taking on Sunday, January 1, 2023, at 10 a.m. (this hike will also begin at the Botume House Visitor Center).

Hike ‘n’ Seek is a nature-themed walk for little walkers. The hike will focus on having children explore the wonders of the natural world. End your hike with some warm hot chocolate as a part of DCR's First Day Hike at the Fells!
